On 19 May 2025, ASEAN and the Netherlands convened the Second Meeting of the ASEAN-Netherlands Development Partnership Committee. Both sides wlecomed the progress made under the ASEAN-Netherlands Norway Practical Cooperation Areas (2025-2029) adopted in January 2025. Malaysia looked forward to further collaboration with the Netherlands in areas such as climate mitigation, TVET and maritime security.
