On 6 April 2026, Consul General Mr. Mohd Shahafeez Shaharis attended "SJTUer’s Day" at the invitation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in conjunction with the university’s 130th anniversary.
The Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Mr. Zhao Xin, received the guests from the Consulates General in Shanghai and led talks about deepening cooperation in joint talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, multicultural exchanges and youth engagement. All parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and promote long-term cooperation in education and culture.
The program concluded with the 130th anniversary Opening Ceremony and a visit to various student booths, including the exhibit organized by the SJTU Malaysian Student Council.
