On 31 March 2026, the Consul General, Mr. Mohd Shahafeez Shaharis made a courtesy call on the Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) of Jiangsu, Mr. Lu Hualiang, highlighting the strong bilateral ties between Malaysia and China.
During the meeting, discussions focused on enhancing economic and cultural exchanges, as well as exploring new avenues for collaboration. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to promote trade and investment opportunities.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with plans for future engagements to further solidify Malaysia-Jiangsu relations.
The meeting was also attended by the Honorary President of Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce cum President of Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association (MJEBA), Mr. Sun Jianwei.
