On 12 May 2026, Consul General Mr. Mohd. Shahafeez Shaharis attended the Malaysian Palm Oil Forum (MPOF) China 2026, officiated by the Minister of Plantation and Commodities of Malaysia, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad.
In her keynote address, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini highlighted the strategic importance of the Malaysia-China partnership and the growing role of value-added palm oil products in supporting industrial collaboration. She also underscored Malaysia’s commitment to responsible production through Malaysia Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO), traceability and continuous improvement across the value chain.
Themed “Malaysian Palm Oil: Supporting High-Value Growth Through Innovation and Partnerships”, MPOF China 2026 brought together Malaysian palm oil producers, international buyers, refiners and manufacturers to strengthen partnerships and explore emerging trade opportunities. The forum also examined the 2026 outlook for China’s oils and fats market, highlighting expanding opportunities for palm-based products across various high-growth sectors.
