On 14 August 2025, the Consul General of Malaysia in Shanghai, Mr. Mohd Shahafeez Shaharis received a courtesy call from the Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Anhui Provincial People’s Government, Mr. Wang Nianbao.
Both sides discussed potential mutual VIP visits and cooperation between Malaysia and Anhui in the field of manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, education and healthcare. The delegation also invited the Consul General to attend the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention, one of Anhui’s main annual events that will be held in Hefei in September.
