On 13 May 2026, the Consulate General of Malaysia participated in a seminar on the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute’s “The State of Southeast Asia 2026 Survey Report” in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu. The event was also attended by representatives from the Consulates General of other ASEAN member states.
Co-hosted by the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and Jiangsu University, the seminar featured scholars from ASEAN countries and China. Discussions focused on the report's key findings, especially on ASEAN-China relations and the global energy crisis. The session was chaired by the Secretary-General of the ACC, H.E. Shi Zhongjun and the report was presented by Ms. Joanne Lin of the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute.
During the visit to Zhenjiang, the Consulate also met with the Secretary of the CPC Zhenjiang Municipal Committee, Mr. Wu Qingwen and participated in the ASEAN-China (Zhenjiang) Economic and Trade Cooperation Matchmaking Conference. Additionally, the Consulate took the opportunity to meet with Malaysian students currently studying at Jiangsu University.
