On 6 July 2025, Mr. Lum Wan Liang, the Consul General of Malaysia in Xi’an, attended the 31st China Lanzhou Investment Trade Fair, also known as the "Lanzhou Fair," held at the Gansu International Convention and Exhibition Center. This year's fair, themed "Sharing Opportunities, Pursuing Development, and Creating Prosperity," emphasizes high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. The goal is to attract key players, strong entities, and leading businesses, thereby promoting connectivity and collaboration between the province and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as with other provinces and cities.
Indonesia was the guest country of honor at this year’s fair. Representatives from over 20 nations, including Germany, Spain, Russia, Malaysia, and Iran, attended the event, alongside representatives from 18 Chinese municipalities, provinces, and autonomous regions.
