On September 6, 2024, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Xi'an hosted a reception to celebrate the 67th National Day of Malaysia and the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Malaysia-China Diplomatic Relations at the Shangri-La Hotel in Xi'an. The event was attended by over 300 guests, including Chinese government officials from Shaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia, members of the diplomatic community, Malaysian and Chinese business leaders, the Association of Malaysian Students in Shaanxi (AMSISX), and members of the Malaysian community residing and working in various cities across the three provinces. Guests enjoyed a selection of Malaysian and local dishes, and the evening included a dance performance by the Dansa Fusion group.
