Ms Farah Rakesh, Consul General of Malaysia in Xi’an, attended the 6th Belt and Road China-Malaysia Business Dialogue in Yinchuan, Ningxia, from 31 March to 2 April 2026. The event focused on strengthening economic, trade, and investment ties between China and Malaysia.
The opening ceremony took place on 2 April at the Yuehai Convention Centre in Yinchuan. Mr Ke Zhizhong, Executive Vice President of the China Economic Cooperation Centre, chaired the event. Mr Zhuang Yan, Deputy Secretary of the China Communist Party (CCP) Ningxia Committee, delivered the opening address, welcoming the Malaysian delegation and all international guests. YB Chang Lih Kang, Vice President of Malaysia’s People's Justice Party (PKR) and Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, gave remarks highlighting the evolution of Malaysia-China cooperation from isolated projects to multi-sector, synergistic development. The event then continued with the Promotion of China-Malaysia Business Environment and Key Industries and Break-up Sessions, which are I—China-Malaysia Economic, Trade, Investment, and Sci-Tech Matchmaking Meeting; II—China-Malaysia Modern Agriculture Matching Meeting; and III—China-Malaysia Cultural Tourism Matchmaking Meeting.
