On May 13, 2025, the Consul General of Malaysia in Xi’an welcomed a courtesy visit from the Graduate Student Club (GSC) of the School of Business and Economics at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This visit was part of the GSC-SBE's annual International Visiting Students Programme (IVSP). The delegation consisted of seven graduate students from various backgrounds and countries, including Malaysia, China, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. They were accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Syamsul Herman Bin Mohammad Afandi.
The purpose of the visit was to foster international understanding, promote cultural exchange, and engage in academic discussions with Xiamen University and Xi’an University of Finance and Economics. Specifically, this courtesy visit aimed to enhance engagement with the diplomatic mission, provide insights into Malaysia’s representation in China, deepen understanding of Malaysia-China relations, clarify the role of the Consulate General, and explore potential opportunities for academic and cultural collaboration.
