On March 27, 2025, Mr. Lum Wan Liang, the Consul General of Malaysia in Xi'an, received a courtesy call from representatives of Huaqing College at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology and the Shaanxi Boen Education Technology Group Company. During the meeting, they discussed efforts to invite more Malaysian students to enroll at the university. Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (XUAT) is one of China's eight historic institutions that specialize in civil engineering and architecture.
