On March 12, 2025, Consul General Mr. Lum Wan Liang met with Mr. Su Peng, Deputy Director of the International Green Design Innovation Alliance of Youth, and representatives from the "Global Governance Youth Development Program" in Malaysia. They discussed the internship program's outcomes, youth exchanges, and cultural cooperation between China and Malaysia. Mr. Lum highlighted the importance of the project for strengthening youth connections and noted the interns' contributions to local issues in Penang. Mr. Su emphasized how engaging in local governance has broadened students' perspectives and thanked the Consulate General of Malaysia in Xi'an for its support. He expressed interest in creating more youth exchange platforms under the Belt and Road Initiative.
