On November 23, 2024, the Malaysian Consulate in Xi'an organized a vibrant Deepavali celebration themed "Dazzling Deepavali." This festive event was attended by 50 Malaysians who currently reside in the city. The evening was filled with cultural activities and the joyful spirit of the festival. Guests were treated to a delightful feast that featured traditional dishes, including the aromatic 'Nasi Daun Pisang,' which is rice served on banana leaves, accompanied by a variety of flavorful curries and side dishes. To complement the meal, a selection of Indian sweets was offered, providing a perfect balance of flavors and a taste of home. Masala tea, known for its rich spices and warmth, was served to enhance the festivities, allowing everyone to connect over shared culinary traditions.
