On 12 January, Mr Lum Wan Liang, Consul General of Malaysia in Xi’an, paid a farewell visit to Vice Mayor Xu Ketao as his term concluded. He thanked the Xi’an Municipal Government for its support and highlighted the deepening cooperation between Malaysia and Xi’an in trade, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges. Mr Lum expressed optimism for the future of Malaysia–China relations and hoped for continued support for his successor. Vice Mayor Xu praised Mr Lum’s efforts in strengthening bilateral ties and reaffirmed Xi’an’s commitment to ongoing collaboration, wishing Mr Lum well in his future endeavours.
