
In line with the efforts of the Malaysian Government to contain the spread of COVID-19 outbreak, the Government has decided that with effect from 10 June 2020, all Malaysians and non-citizens having permission to enter Malaysia will need to undergo a mandatory self-quarantine period of 14 days upon arrival after they have been cleared from COVID-19 by the Ministry of Health and will be monitored through MySejahtera application.
For non-Malaysian expatriates, Immigration Department of Malaysia has issued new guidelines for Expatriate / Skilled Worker / Knowledge Worker Entering Malaysia for Key Posts and Technical Posts, and for Dependents and Foreign Maids during the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period. The guidelines are applicable for the following:
- Expatriate / skilled worker / knowledge worker with an active pass, who is currently abroad.
- New expatriate / skilled worker / knowledge worker who is currently abroad.
- Dependents, including foreign maids to the expatriate / skilled worker / knowledge worker who is currently abroad.

The implementation of this procedure is effective from 10 June 2020 until further notice by the Government of Malaysia.
