On 3 February 2026, Madam Yao Hongjuan, Director General of the Shaanxi Foreign Affairs Office, led a delegation to the Consulate General of Malaysia in Xi’an. She welcomed Ms Farah Rakesh, the new Consul General, and extended Spring Festival greetings. Both sides discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation between Malaysia and the Shaanxi provincial government.
