The flights, which will operate twice a week, are expected to increase tourist arrivals, promote cultural exchange, and enhance Malaysia’s reputation as a globally accessible and inviting travel destination. The introduction of the Xi'an-Penang route aligns with the objectives of Visit Malaysia Year 2026, highlighting Malaysia's commitment to strengthening ties with China.
Loong Air is a Chinese airline based at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The airline commenced operations in 2013 and will begin flying three times weekly from Hangzhou to Kuala Lumpur starting February 1, 2024.
