Malaysia Jackfruit - Xi'an Soft Launch was successfully held on 25 October 2023 at CapitaLand Plaza. Consulate General Malaysia and Malaysia Chamber of Commerce-Xi'an hosted this event in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries of Malaysia (MAFS) in Beijing. This event was to promote Malaysia Jackfruit into the Chinese market. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia stated at the beginning of 2023 that it would focus this year on promoting fruit exports to key overseas markets such as China. With access to the Chinese market now secured, Malaysia has become the third country approved to export jackfruit to China, after Thailand and Vietnam.
