On 3 July 2024, Mr. Lum Wan Liang, the Consul General of Malaysia in Xi'an, participated in the Malaysia & Northwest China Business Forum held at the Xi'an Chanba Silk Road International Culture and Arts Center. The forum aimed to strengthen trade, investment, and industrial cooperation between Malaysia and Northwest China. It attracted the participation of businesses and government agencies, emphasizing the development of friendly relations, bilateral cooperation, and new connections. The event drew over 300 representatives from relevant government departments, trade and investment institutions, and entrepreneurs from Northwest China and Malaysia. Notable guests included Raja Dato’ Seri 'Izzuddin Iskandar Shah al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris Al-Mutawakkil Alallahi Shah Afifullah II and other distinguished individuals. Malaysian companies showcased their business models and achievements.
