Consul General, accompanied by his spouse and Vice Consul were invited to attend the New Year Reception 2019 hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on 11 January 2019 at Hilton Xi’an Hotel. Consul General extended his warm felicitations and congratulated Mr. Kang Zhanping, Director General of Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office on this auspicious occasion.
Consul General in his remarks said as China ushered in the auspicious 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic this year, Malaysia also marking the 45th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with China. Both countries have always maintained the cordial relations as trusted neighbours and sincere partners for nearly half a century, and he was confident that the long-standing bond of friendship would be further strengthened in the years to come. Consul General also expressed his gratitude of the support, cooperation and assistance rendered by Mr. Kang and his dedicated team in advancing the Malaysia-Ningxia bilateral cooperation and looked forward to working closely with the latter in strengthening the collaborative exchanges and contribute to the overall development of Malaysia-China relations.
Consul General also had the opportunity to interact with other distinguished guests at the Reception namely Mr. Yao Jinchuan, Deputy Director-General of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province, Mr. Hoy Pichravuth, Consul General of Cambodia, Ms Oracha Tanakorn, Consul General of Thailand, Mr. Kim Byungkwun, Consul General of the Republic of Korea and other senior officials of Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office.
