On 22 May 2025 - Mr. Lum Wan Liang, the Consul General of Malaysia in Xi’an, attended the Silk Road International Geography Products Exchange Conference held at Xi'an International Exhibition Centre. The exhibition featured participants from Central Asian countries, such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as from 14 countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, including Azerbaijan, Thailand, Cambodia, and Georgia.
As a highlight of the Silk Road International Expo 2025 and the China East-West Cooperation, Investment, and Trade Fair, this geographical indication exhibition creatively embraced the theme of the "Silk Road," marking it as the first international professional exhibition of geographical indications in the history of the Silk Road Expo. This innovative initiative aims to establish a new platform for international cooperation in the geographical indication industry, connecting countries along the "One Belt, One Road" and reaching out to the global market. It brings a fresh professional significance to the Silk Expo.
