On March 13, 2025, the Consul General of Malaysia, along with other foreign diplomats, was invited to explore the new fifth terminal of Xi’an Xianyang International Airport. This event was organized by the Shaanxi Foreign Affairs Office. The terminal, which has been operational since February 22, 2025, offered the diplomats an opportunity to experience the exit and entry procedures as well as a guided tour of its facilities. The officials were impressed by the terminal's advanced technology and innovative design. Notably, it is home to the world’s first airport-based museum, showcasing precious artifacts uncovered during the terminal's construction.
