Abolishment of Visa on Arrival effective 16 August 2010

The Embassy wishes to clarify that the recent decision by the Malaysian Government to abolish the issuance of visa on arrival (VOA) effective from 16 August 2010 does not affect German nationals who are allowed to enter Malaysia without visa for a stay of not more than 90 days for social visit purposes. The abolishment of the VOA is meant for nationals of certain countries who require visa but can enjoy the facility before it was being rescinded recently.
