On 9–10 May 2026, Berlin - The Embassy of Malaysia in Berlin, in collaboration with Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA), Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), MERCY Humanitarian UK (MHUK), and the Malaysian-German Students’ Society (MGSS), successfully organised a two-day programme dedicated to Malaysian students in Germany.
The first day featured the Majlis Orientasi dan Informasi (MOIN) 2026, designed for newly arrived students. The programme provided essential guidance on academic life, financial management, language preparation, and consular matters, while also incorporating elements of mental well-being to support students in adapting to a new academic and social environment. Engagements with the Embassy, sponsoring agencies, and student representatives further helped foster early connections and build a strong support network among participants.
During his opening remarks, Ambassador Razdan emphasised the importance of not only striving for academic excellence, but also maintaining strong mental wellbeing while living abroad. He encouraged students to support one another, remain connected to the Malaysian community, and to view their time in Germany as an opportunity for both personal growth and holistic development.
The second day focused on a Mental Health Awareness Programme, co-organised with MHUK, marking its first ‘live’ outreach event in Germany. The session brought together Malaysian students and placed strong emphasis on mental well-being, offering practical insights on managing stress, recognising when to seek support, and encouraging open conversations to foster a resilient and supportive student community.
The Embassy was honoured by the participation of Ms Haliza Hashim, Advisor, and Datin Adzlin Azhar, Trustee of MHUK, whose contributions across both days added significant value to the programme, particularly in emphasising the importance of resilience and emotional wellbeing alongside academic success.
The Embassy remains committed to supporting Malaysian students in Germany, ensuring that they are well-prepared, connected, and supported throughout their academic journey abroad.
