The Embassy of Malaysia for the twelve year in a row participated in the ALL NATIONS FESTIVAL. The Embassy once again has planned a special programme for its visitors. An art exhibition “Kaum Bunyian – Völker der Klänge” with works by Berlin based Malaysian artist Zubin Zainal , the art work presented an artistic perspective on the theme of superstition in Malaysia.
The visitors were also entertained in a series of performances of traditional Malaysian dances courtesy of the Mari Bersama Dance Ensemble from Hamburg. In connection with the ANF 2013 theme “Superstition”, the visitors were able to learn about some common Malay, Indian and Chinese superstitious beliefs and took part in series of quiz. The winners of the quiz won attractive prizes such as a hamper filled with an array of Malaysian products.
Variety of traditional Malaysian foods such as satay, fried rice, banana balls and teh tarik (pulled tea) were prepared by PERWAKILAN, the Embassy’s Women Association at a reasonable price. In total the Embassy received 1434 visitors for this annual event.
