The Embassy was proud to host “An evening with Elias David Moncado” on 4 June 2016. With Elias David, a young Malaysian violinist at the centre, the performance of the evening also featured Olga Caspruk as the Mezzo, as well as Bernhard and Mooi Jiew Moncado at the piano. Throughout the evening, guests were treated to a medley of well-know compositions from Camille Saint Saens, Jules Massenet, Claude Debussy, Antonin Dvorak and Pablo de Sarasate. Moncado also surprised guests with his take on a Malaysian classic “Getaran Jiwa”, made famous by Malaysian legendary performer the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee.
