Tropical Islands launched its newest attraction - An open air segment called "Amazonia". The segment was opened in a grand ceremony on a sunny afternoon of Friday, 20 May 2016. Many took the opportunity to witness the opening, ASEAN Ambassadors included.
Tropical Islands is a tropical theme park located in Krausnick, some 60km from Berlin. The park was built by a Malaysian corporation Tanjong in a former airship hangar. The park, which was opened at the end of 2004, houses many attractions, including an artificial beach, swimming pools, bars, restaurants and also the biggest indoor rainforest in the world. The new attraction, Amazonia, covers an area of approximately 35.000m2 and is open all year long. The biggest attraction in Amazonia is a “Wild Water River” - a 250m-long jet stream of water.
