ASEAN Food Experience

ASEAN Embassies in Berlin jointly organized a charity event “ASEAN Food Experience” for the benefit of the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan on 3^rd May 2011 in Berlin Marriot Hotel. The event gave the public an opportunity to taste and savour dishes from the rich and diverse culinary traditions of the 10 ASEAN countries.  The Embassy of Malaysia participated by contributing nasi minyak with lamb kurma, curry puff and pumpkin stew courtesy of the Ladies Association of Embassy of Malaysia. Besides enjoying the different delicacies, raffle prizes consisting of roundtrip flights, hotel stays and traditional handicrafts, among others, donated by the embassies and the hotel were also up for grabs.The proceeds from the tickets sales, donations and raffles, amounting to Euro 12,665  was handed over to H.E. Dr. Takahiro Shiny, the Japanese Ambassador at the end of the event.
