The “Colours of Malaysia Evening” was an evening to remember for the more than 350 guests including members of the media attended the event that showcased Malaysia’s multicultural dance performance, a batik fashion show as well as a special performance by an award winning artist from Malaysia, Dato’ Khatijah Ibrahim. Guests were also given the opportunity to sample various Malaysian delicacies such as ‘rendang’, ‘satay’, ‘mi goreng mamak’ and other special dishes just to name a few.
The event started of with a special welcoming remarks by the Honourable Minister which was read by her representative, Dato’ Amirrudin Abu, Acting Director General of Tourism
The highlight of the evening was the multicultural dance performance by dancers from “Badan Kesenian Warisan Johor” which performed a number of Malaysian traditional dances including “Wau Bulan”, “Kuda Kepang”, “Zapin” and “Asyik”. The group also performed dances from the ethnic groups from the
Dato’ Khadijah Ibrahim performed various English and Malaysian songs including her signature song “Malaysia Truly Asia”.

The evening was an opportunity for the guest to sample the sight, sound, colour and taste of “Malaysia Truly Asia”.
