The Honourable Datuk Dr. Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, led a delegation to a networking session with German companies, held at the Embassy of Malaysia in Berlin on 23 May 2014. The session was organized with cooperation from the German-Malaysian Society (DtMG). Others present in the Malaysian delegation include Dr. Zulkifli Mohamed Hashim, Deputy Secretary General (Science) of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dato’ Dr. Mohd. Nazlee Kamal, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (BIOTECHCORP) and HE Dato’ Salman Ahmad, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany.
The session provided an opportunity for the Malaysian delegation to interact with German companies and institutions such as the Fraunhofer Institute, Association German Biotechnology Enterprises (VBU), Logis Group and TUV Nord on potential cooperation between Malaysia and Germany in areas such as biotechnology, bioeconomy-based industries, industry consultations, ICT and certification services.
