A group of 17 students from the University of Bamberg, Germany who will be representing Malaysia at the National Model United Nations (NMUN) simulation in New York visited the Embassy of Malaysia in Berlin on 14 January 2011. The NMUN simulation programme would not only provide the students the opportunity to have advance understanding of the UN System but also allows them to address global issues in a ‘real world’ context. The group comprised students of various academic backgrounds such as accounting, economics, political science and international relations. The students were greeted by the Malaysian Ambassador Dato’ Ibrahim Abdullah who briefed them on various topics relevant to their simulation programme and entertained questions from the group. The students also had the opportunity to enjoy a simple Malaysian treat before they conclude their visit programme at the Embassy.
