On 7 April 2026, Berlin - The Embassy of Malaysia in Berlin welcomed a delegation of the State Government of Selangor, led by YB Puan Anfaal Saari, Executive Councillor (EXCO) for Women Empowerment & Family, Welfare, and Care Economy, at the Chancery.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on the delegation’s benchmarking mission in Germany, with a particular focus on policies and best practices related to the care economy, including support systems for the elderly and Persons with Disabilities (PwD). Discussions also touched on Germany’s experience in developing inclusive, community-based care frameworks and age-friendly environments.
The engagement served as a useful platform to strengthen collaboration between the Embassy and the State Government of Selangor, while facilitating the delegation’s efforts to establish meaningful linkages with relevant institutions in Germany.
