







Visit Program to Jade University of Applied Sciences and Student Engagement Session
On 28 April 2026, Wilhelmshaven - The Embassy of Malaysia in Berlin, together with Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) Office in Frankfurt, participated in a series of engagements at Jade Hochschule, Wilhelmshaven, in conjunction with the university’s International Day programme.
The visit featured a sharing session with the university’s management, where discussions focused on academic cooperation, industry-linked education, and opportunities to further enhance Malaysia–Germany collaboration in higher education.
A highlight of the programme was the International Day showcase, where Malaysian students proudly represented Malaysia through a vibrant booth featuring Visit Malaysia 2026 promotional materials, traditional games and foods, interactive quizzes, and a cultural dance performance. The presentation attracted strong interest and contributed positively to the atmosphere of the event.
The delegation also visited the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Azer, where cutting-edge research on drone-based inspection systems for high-voltage infrastructure was showcased, reflecting strong alignment with emerging areas such as AI, digitalisation and smart energy systems.
The programme concluded with an engagement session with Malaysian students, where the Embassy conveyed key messages on academic excellence, integration, and the importance of contributing back to Malaysia, as well as a luncheon hosted by Jade Hochschule with the participation of the Lord Mayor of Wilhelmshaven, Mr. Carsten Feist.
The visit to Wilhelmshaven highlights the strong presence and positive reputation of Malaysian students in Germany, while reaffirming the Embassy’s commitment to strengthening educational cooperation and people-to-people ties between Malaysia and Germany.
