The highlight of the Official Visit of The Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak was a Working Lunch hosted by the Federal Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel on 27 September 2016. The Working Lunch was preceded by an official welcoming ceremony with military honours at the courtyard of the Federal Chancellery.
During the lunch, both sides discussed issues concerning the state of Malaysia-Germany bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international issues. Following the Working Lunch, a Joint Press Conference was held at the Media Foyer of the Federal Chancellery.
