YB Dato’ Sri Richard Riot Anak Jaem, Minister of Human Resources Malaysia, undertook a working visit to Berlin on 9 and 10 June 2016. The visit was part of his tour in Germany and UK to gain insights on vocational training systems in Europe. It also served as follow-up to the Smart Business Leaders’ Programme, a collaboration programme between the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia and the European School of Management Technology (ESMT) which began in 2015.
In Berlin Dato’ Sri Richard was joined by officials from the Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysian Human Resources Development Fund and Ministry of Finance. He participated in a dialogue at ESMT and engaged a number of German companies in Berlin such as BMW and Siemens to learn more about how skills training program in those companies.
