On 11 April 2026, the High Commission of Malaysia was represented by Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Mr. Syed Nauzer Idid, at the Songkran Festival in Ghana 2026 at Mensvic Grand Hotel, East Legon, Accra, upon the kind invitation of Ms. Chantira Phumisakha, President of Thai Community Ghana LBG.
The event celebrated Thailand’s New Year tradition and brought together the diplomatic community, including the Malaysian community in Ghana, whose support contributed to the success of the festival. Cda a.i. also met with the Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Mr. Supachoke Yensuang.
The celebration reflected the spirit of the ASEAN Communitypromoting unity, cultural diversity, and friendship beyond the region.
