On 19 February 2026, a delegation from the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) led by H.E. Mdm Izzana Salleh, Secretary-General of CPOPC, paid a courtesy visit to the High Commission of Malaysia in Accra, Ghana.
The delegation was warmly received by the Chargé d’Affaires a.i., followed by a fruitful discussion on the outcomes of the Ghana Tree Crops Investment Summit & Exhibition (GTCIS 2026), hosted by the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA) from 17–20 February 2026 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Held under the theme “Sustainable Growth Through Tree Crop Investments: Resetting and Building Ghana’s Green Economy,” the summit gathered over 6,000 participants, including global investors, policymakers and agribusiness leaders. The high-level event featured the participation of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, alongside senior ministers and key stakeholders, reaffirming Ghana’s strong commitment to agricultural industrialisation and sustainable value chain development.
GTCIS 2026 is projected to generate up to USD500 million in investment interest across priority value chains including cashew, shea, oil palm, coconut, rubber and mango — strengthening local processing capacity and enhancing farmer livelihoods.
The CPOPC delegation will depart Accra this evening for Nigeria to attend the next engagement.
