01 April 2026 1 views

The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), in collaboration with the High Commission of Malaysia in Accra and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Ghana, successfully hosted the MPOC Technical Seminar yesterday in Accra!

The seminar served as a high-level platform for policymakers, refiners, and industry leaders to discuss the future of the edible oils sector. With palm oil accounting for 84% of Ghana’s edible oil consumption, the event highlighted the vital role of Malaysian palm oil in supporting local food manufacturing and resilient supply chains.

A special thank you to our distinguished speakers and partners:

Hon. Dr. Andrews Osei Okrah (CEO of TCDA)

Professor Paul Pinnock Bosu (Director-General of CSIR)

Mr. Theventharan Batumalai (Regional Manager, MPOC)

Leaders from GOPDC and BOPP

Together, we are fostering innovation, evidence-based research, and sustainable growth for the palm oil industry in West Africa.
