On 30 March 2026, H.E. Sarah and H.E. Wang Qing, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to ASEAN, co-chaired the 27th ASEAN-China Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) Meeting at the ASEAN Secretariat.
As the the Country Coordinator for the ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations, Malaysia highlighted 2026 as a major milestone, commemorating 35 years of ASEAN–China relations and 5 years of ASEAN–China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Both sides shared key achievements of ASEAN-China cooperation and reaffirmed the shared aspiration to further strengthen the partnership in the years ahead.
