The 31st ASEAN-EU Joint Cooperation Committee Meeting (EUJCC), co-chaired by the EU and the Phillippines convened on 8 May 2024. During the Meeting, H.E Dato’ Nur Izzah expressed appreciation for the EU’s continuous support in accelerating ASEAN’s community-building efforts through development programs under various EU instruments. Malaysia encouraged ASEAN and the EU to utilise the Joint Working Group (JWG) platform to deepen collaboration on palm oil. Malaysia also reaffirmed its support to working closely with the EU in areas of mutual interest such as digital economy, public health, green technologies and MSMEs.
