12 December 2024 marked the last Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR) Meeting under Lao PDR’s ASEAN Chairmanship as it officially handed over the chairmanship to Malaysia. During the Handover Ceremony, H.E Bovonethat Douangchak, PR of Lao PDR to ASEAN handed over the CPR Gavel to H.E. Sarah Al Bakri Devadason, Malaysia’s PR to ASEAN, witnessed by H.E. Dr.Kao Kim Hourn, ASEAN Secretary-General. AMS expressed their appreciation for the achievements made under Lao PDR’s Chairmanship this year and looked forward to the continuation of the important work of the CPR under Malaysia’s stewardship in 2025.
