As the Chair of the CPR, on 1 August 2025, H.E Sarah led the Interface between H.E. José Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, H.E Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN and the CPRs. During her remarks, H.E Sarah reaffirmed the CPR’s enduring commitment to ensure a smooth and successful accession process for Timor-Leste by October 2025 and looked forward to it being a part of the ASEAN Community Building process as AMS work towards ASEAN integration to realise the ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future.
