On 9 January 2025, Malaysia chaired the inaugural CPR Meeting under Malaysia's ASEAN Chairmanship. The opening ceremony was attended by ASEAN Sec-Gen, all CPR Members, ASEAN DSGs, CPRWG & officials from the ASEAN Secretariat. During her remarks, H.E Sarah Al Bakri Devadason highlighted that theme of “Inclusivity and Sustainability” embodies the vision of progress that is genuinely shared, leaving no one behind. This theme reflects ASEAN’s aspiration to strengthen regional peace, stability and prosperity within an inclusive, sustainable and future oriented ASEAN Community Framework. Malaysia reaffirmed its dedication to serving ASEAN with integrity, foresight & transparency.
