Malaysia chaired the Second Meeting of the Group of the East Asia Summit (EAS) Ambassadors to ASEAN in Jakarta (EAS Group) on 25 June 2025 at the ASEAN Secretariat. The Meeting served as a platform for EAS Ambassadors to exchange views on enhancing EAS cooperation and reaffirmed the shared commitment to promoting regional peace, stability and prosperity. Discussions also focused on preparations for the upcoming 15th EAS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in July 2025 and strengthening practical collaboration in key areas of mutual interest. Malaysia expressed appreciation for the continued support of all EAS participating countries in upholding the EAS as a leaders-led platform for open and inclusive dialogue.
