The 3rd Meeting between the Committee of the Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) and the Group of External Relations of the Pacific Alliance was held on 3 May 2017 at the ASEAN Secretariat. The Meeting was Co-chaired by H.E. Nguyen Hoanh Nam, Permanent Representative of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to ASEAN, Country Coordinator for ASEAN – Pacific Alliance Relations, and Mr. Pablo Urria, Director for Bilateral International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile and attended by the Members of the CPR, Ambassadors and representatives from the Pacific Alliance, and the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC).
Both sides acknowledged the continuous engagements between ASEAN and the Pacific Alliance over the past three years, including three Ministerial Meetings in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and two CPR Meetings with the Ambassadors of the Pacific Alliance in Jakarta in May 2015 and March 2016. Both ASEAN and the Pacific Alliance also looked forward to further enhanced cooperation between ASEAN and the Pacific Alliance in the future.
