CONSULAR ASSISTANCE : CAFE BLAST IN BENGALURU RAMESHWARAM CAFE, KARNATAKA, INDIA
The Consulate General of Malaysia in Chennai, is following up on the report earlier in the day that a bomb blast took place at the Rameshwaram Café in Bengaluru on Friday, 1st March. It was reported that at least eight people, including three staff members of the café and one customer, were injured in the blast that occurred around 1 pm.
According to local authorities, no Malaysians, particularly Malaysian students, were affected by the bomb blast incident. The students were reported to be attending classes on their campus at that time. In this regard, all Malaysians in Bengaluru are urged to keep abreast of the latest developments, take due precautions, adhere to travel advisories from local authorities and avoid crowded places as the investigation is still ongoing.
