On 14 February 2023, Mr. K. Saravana Kumar, Consul General of Malaysia to South India, attended and delivered an opening speech at a seminar on doing business in Malaysia hosted by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) with the cooperation of Matrade Chennai and MIDA Mumbai.
Mr. Sivasuriyamoorthy Sundara Raja, Deputy CEO of MIDA, presented a comprehensive briefing on the investment ecosystems, opportunities, and advantages of investing in the manufacturing activities in Malaysia. During the seminar, representatives of a chemical company from Chennai that is currently operating a chemical processing facility in Kemaman, Malaysia, shared their success story and experiences in investing in Malaysia. After the presentation, they also took part in a Q & A Session.
The Consul General, during his opening speech, reiterated the importance of having more engagements to promote trade and investment with Malaysia and pledged the Consulate’s support to ensure the success of such activities.
