24 March 2024 : The Consulate General of Malaysia in Chennai was honoured to be one of the supporters of the 16th Annual Edison Awards held at the Chennai Trade Centre.
The Consul General, Mr. K. Saravana Kumar delivered a recorded speech promoting Malaysia as one of the best tourist destinations and took the opportunity to speak about visa-free entry to Malaysia. And also,, the cultural affinity people from both countries share can be a boon for travellers.
Nearly 400 local actors, actresses, individuals from the movie industry, and supporters attended the event. Mr. Razaidi Abd Rahim, Director of Tourism Malaysia, Chennai, represented the Consul General and presented the Best Upcoming Female Actress award to the winner.
