Flight connections between Kuala Lumpur and Tehran have now increased to 9 flights a week. Air Asia flies three (3) times weekly for the KL/Tehran/KL route. It is hoped that with these connectivity it will facilitate greater people-to-people contact especially for the businessmen, students, tourists and officials from both countries.

Malaysians travelling on Malaysian passport to Iran are advised to take note of the following:
· Malaysians do not require Visa to enter Iran for 14 days stay;
· Photo taking are NOT allowed at certain public buildings.
(Pl. look out for the No Photo signs.)
· Wearing Hejab and Islamic dress code is expected at all time by law;
(Baju Kurung is generally accepted)
· Shaking hands with the opposite sex is not a practice;
· Local currency is Rials. US$ dollar is widely accepted at local FOREX centers and Hotels.
