The Committee members of the Association of spouses of diplomats (DLG) in Tehran led by its president Puan Jakkiah Sadik paid a courtesy call on Mdm. Zarif, wife of the newly appointed Foreign Minister of Iran at the Institute of Political and International Study (IPIS) on Monday, 17 September 2013. On behalf of the DLG, Puan Jakkiah briefed Mdm. Zarif the list of activities that the DLG had mapped out for the year. She also handed out cash financial contribution to earthquake victims organization which the DLG had collected from its Ladies Bazaar event recently. Mdm. Zarif very much welcomed the DLG’s activities and gave encouraging words of advice to the group. Mdm. Zarif also shared her experience in the Diplomatic Ladies Association activities including charity works in New York while accompanying her husband Dr. Javad Zarif who used to serve as Iran’s PR to the UN.
